The restaurant has a beautiful interior design and a fresh, clean, stylish atmosphere. There’s also an outdoor area with a lovely view, and the staff provide very good service. Before the food even arrived, we were already saying, “What a wonderful place! We’d love to come back here with friends.” We genuinely loved the ambiance and decor.
However, once the dishes were served, we immediately felt that something was not quite right. The food was not inedible, and the ingredients themselves did not seem poor quality. The problem was that the flavors were overwhelmingly strong, to the point that eating became tiring.
We found ourselves losing our appetite, which is extremely unusual for us because we normally love food and enjoy eating very much.
When a staff member asked, “How is your meal?” we honestly replied, “The flavors are too strong for us.” She then told us, “The chef is Mexican.”
Perhaps that explains it?
I normally love Mexican cuisine. However, the food served here is not Mexican food — it is Western cuisine.
Even the mushrooms had an unexpected level of spiciness. The outside of the meat was burnt and dry, which made us feel the heat during cooking was simply too high. Under normal circumstances, these dishes could have been prepared much better.
Because the restaurant itself is so beautiful and has such wonderful potential, I truly hope they improve the food. Otherwise, they may need to reconsider the chef. — 翻譯此內容
